The trip begins in Delhi, where our tour coordinator will pick you up around midnight. From there, we’ll embark on our journey to Chopta, which will take approximately 15 to 16 hours. After such a long journey, you may feel quite tired upon arrival. Once you reach Chopta, complete your check-in and take some time to freshen up. Afterward, enjoy your meal and relax for the rest of the day. You can unwind in your room overnight, and if you still have some energy, feel free to explore a few local spots. Chopta, situated at an altitude of 2,900 meters above sea level in Uttarakhand, serves as the starting point for the trek to Tungnath.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for Tungnath, which is situated at an elevation of 3,680 meters above sea level. The trek to Tungnath is challenging and involves navigating through winding paths amidst alpine meadows. Once you reach Tungnath, it’s just one more hour of climbing to reach Chandrashila, which stands at 4,090 meters. The breathtaking panoramic views from the top will leave you in awe. After completing the trek, check in to your camps for the night. Freshen up and enjoy your dinner, as this will be your accommodation for the night. Take some time to rest and prepare for the adventures of the next day.
This marks the final day of the trip. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you’ll set out for Deoria Tal on your way back home. It’s just a 10 km drive to Sari village, from where you’ll embark on a 2.3 km trek to Deoria Tal, situated at an elevation of 2,994 meters above sea level. The lake offers stunning reflections of the snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges, with Chaukhamba visible to the north. The views of the surrounding forest are breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for Himalayan birdwatching and providing a panoramic view of 220 degrees of the mountain peaks. After spending some time soaking in the scenery, you’ll begin your journey back home, which will take approximately 15 to 16 hours.
