Deorital chandrshila trek

The Deoriatal Chandrashila Trek is a popular trek in Uttarakhand, offering a blend of natural beauty, mythology, and adventure. Starting from Sari Village, the trail leads to the serene Deoriatal Lake, known for its reflections of Mt. Chaukhamba. The trek continues through dense rhododendron forests, past Chopta, often called the “Mini Switzerland of India.” The climb to Chandrashila summit at 13,123 feet rewards trekkers with a breathtaking 360° view of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Kedarnath. Suitable for beginners, the trek is ideal for experiencing alpine forests, high-altitude meadows, and panoramic mountain views in just a few days.

The Deoriatal Chandrashila Trek is a captivating journey through Uttarakhand, offering stunning views of Himalayan peaks like Chaukhamba, Trishul, and Nanda Devi. Starting from Sari village, the trek passes through the serene Deoriatal Lake and ascends to Chandrashila Peak at 12,083 feet. Ideal for beginners, it combines dense forests, alpine meadows, and breathtaking vistas.

Drive through Rishikesh and Devprayag, along the Alaknanda River, to the village of Sari, the trek’s starting point.

Trek to Deoriatal, a pristine lake with views of Mt. Chaukhamba. Camp beside the lake, surrounded by forests and snow-capped peaks.

Trek through oak and rhododendron forests, passing Rohini Bugyal meadows, and ascend to Chopta, a beautiful clearing at 8,790 feet.

Ascend to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, and continue to Chandrashila Summit (12,083 feet), offering panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Kedarnath. Return to Chopta.

Drive back to Haridwar, concluding the trek.
