This itinerary provides a balance of culture, nature, and relaxation, showcasing the diverse beauty of Kerala.
Tour participants should report to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Domestic/International Airport in Mumbai according to their scheduled flight departure time and will fly to Cochin with the Veena World Tour Manager. Upon arrival, they will proceed to Alleppey, often referred to as "the Venice of the East."
Guests joining and leaving (J&L) the tour will meet the group independently. The transfer costs to reach the designated location or hotel will be the responsibility of the J&L guests.
In the evening, there will be a brief Meet & Greet session.

Today, we will head to Periyar. Along the way, we’ll experience a scenic ride through the famous Kerala Backwaters, taking in the beautiful views of lush paddy fields and coconut trees as we glide along. Upon arrival in Periyar, you’ll have some free time for shopping at Kumily Spice Village. In the evening, we will enjoy a Kalaripayattu performance, showcasing this traditional Indian martial art, followed by a captivating Kathakali show, one of the oldest theater forms in the world.

Overnight Stay in Periyar

Extras: Tetra-packed juice during the backwater ride and banana wafers at Kumily village.
Today, we will visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of India’s renowned national parks and a famous elephant and tiger reserve. The sanctuary is home to around 35 species of mammals, including tigers, Indian elephants, gaurs, sambars, wild pigs, and Indian giant squirrels. We will explore this wildlife haven by taking a boat ride on Periyar Lake. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey to Munnar, celebrated for its lush green hills and tea plantations.

Today, we’ll enjoy a speedboat ride at Mattupetty Dam, located near Sunmoon Valley. This will be followed by a visit to Echo Point and Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park, pending security clearance.

Today, we will travel to Cochin, often referred to as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Upon arrival, we'll visit the Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church in Fort Kochi, which is one of the oldest European churches in India and holds significant historical value. Next, we’ll head to Mattancherry to explore the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth, and the Dutch Palace, renowned for its exquisite Kerala-style architecture.

Tour guests will proceed to the airport according to their scheduled group flight departure time to begin their journey home. Guests joining and leaving (J&L) the tour will separate from the group after the scheduled program, and they will bear the transfer costs to their respective airport, cruise terminal, or bus/rail station.

Please Note:
Airline: On group tours, we typically fly with airlines that are friendly to groups. Group tours are based on economy class; if you wish to travel in Premium Economy, Business Class, or First Class, we can arrange this at an additional cost, subject to availability. During your flight, refreshments and meals will be provided according to the airline's policy, but we recommend bringing some dry snacks for the journey.
Transport: For transfers and sightseeing, we use small cars, Tempo Travellers, or mini/big coaches based on the size of the tour group. The seating arrangement is determined by booking priority, with seats 1 and 2 reserved for Tour Managers and Guides. Seats 3 and 4 are available as Prime Seats for an additional fee. In small cars, 4-6 guests will share the vehicle, rotating seats as needed. If you prefer to have a vehicle exclusively for yourself or your family or wish to upgrade, we can arrange that at an additional cost, subject to availability.
Sightseeing Attractions: Due to current circumstances, some monuments or attractions may be temporarily closed without prior notice. Occasionally, due to high traffic or reservation changes, access to certain attractions may not be possible. In such cases, we will make every effort to visit an alternative site or issue a refund for the entry fee.
Hotels: The hotels included in the tour are comfortable and have received positive feedback from Veena World guests. Please verify your accommodations before booking your tour.
Room Sharing: Sometimes, two single travelers of the same gender may share a room. Please review the instruction sheet along with the terms and conditions for more information.
Meals: All meals are provided from the first to the last day of the tour, as outlined in the itinerary. For early arrivals or late departures due to flight schedules, guests will receive additional meals at no extra cost. For connecting flights with a transit time over three hours, a meal or meal coupon will be provided. Typically, meals are served in restaurants; however, packed meals may be provided on occasion for the convenience of the itinerary. Breakfasts are generally Indian or Continental, while lunches and dinners feature a set menu with Indian cuisine, regional dishes, or popular street food. At religious sites, only vegetarian meals will be served, whereas meals elsewhere will include a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
